Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Metis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BOZ Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Metis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, BOZ Fighter! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Metis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Metis scores with a three punch combo!
BOZ Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Metis stuffs the takedown. Metis fails in his attempt to clinch. Fighter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Metis being controlled here, momentarily. I looks like Fighter might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Metis throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter sitting in guard here, content to control. Fighter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Metis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fighter, into his guard. Fighter wants to sweep here but Metis controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Metis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Fighter working a defensive guard but Metis passes into half guard.
Metis trying to control from Fighter's half guard. Fighter has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Fighter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Metis shoots in but no luck this time. Metis tries to close the distance and clinch but Fighter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fighter stuffs the takedown attempt from Metis. Metis gets slowly back to his feet. Metis shoots in and drives through. Fighter sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Metis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Metis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fighter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Metis's waist but Metis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter off to one side. Fighter looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Metis as he avoids it easily. Fighter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Metis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fighter circles away. Some wild striking there from Metis.
Metis shoots in for a takedown but Fighter shows good takedown defense. Fighter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fighter wants to take a breather but Metis is having none of it. Fighter has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Metis works to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BOZ Fighter dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Metis has a takedown stuffed. Fighter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Metis to the mat! Metis manages to get full guard. Fighter won't allow Metis to sweep him here. Fighter passes Metis's left leg - he's now in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Metis tries to get to full guard but Fighter has control of the leg. Fighter misses with a head shot. Metis uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter stays in close to Metis's body and controls the position. Fighter stands and steps away. Metis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Metis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fighter momentarily.
Fighter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fighter moves into the clinch successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Metis tries for a takedown but Fighter manages to get underhooks.
Metis landing knees to the head.
Fighter unloads a knee to the mid-section. Metis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Metis has Fighter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fighter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Metis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Metis regains guard immediately. Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but Metis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fighter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Metis is looking to stand up but Fighter isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter wants to stand but Metis is controlling his posture from full guard. Fighter looking to sit in guard and control but Metis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Fighter wants to sweep here but Metis controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fighter wants to control the position but Metis says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fighter trying to hold on to Metis's head to control him but Metis postures up.
Metis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fighter keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BOZ Fighter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Metis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
A combination from Metis does no damage. Metis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fighter is fending him off so far but Metis persists. Nope, Fighter circles away and we're back to standing. Fighter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Metis's waist but Metis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter off to one side. Fighter darts in trying to clinch and Metis counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Metis scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Metis throws a right and a left that Fighter avoids nicely. Fighter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Metis tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fighter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Metis throws a knee to the head but misses.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Metis landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Fighter has Metis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Metis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Matt Metis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BOZ Fighter. Fighter stalling in the clinch.
Metis stalling in the clinch but Fighter improves position. Metis with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Fighter drags the fight down to the ground.
Fighter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fighter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Metis throwing strikes from guard but Fighter blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fighter looking to control.
Metis throwing strikes but missing. Fighter is trying to control the position but Metis postures up. Metis trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Metis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fighter as he jumps to the side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Metis tries to clinch but Fighter moves away and Fighter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Metis won't be happy with that. Fighter misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Fighter trying to control the position but Metis is working away. Fighter working away. Metis manages to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter stalling away here and it's allowed Metis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Metis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
BOZ Fighter has got the better of the ground game so far. Fighter trying to control but Metis is working from the bottom. Matt Metis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! BOZ Fighter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Fighter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
