Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerry Laskey! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liquid Snake! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snake showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Laskey.
Snake avoids a punch combination nicely.
Laskey moves in looking to clinch but Snake pushes him off. Laskey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Snake moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Laskey avoids the body shot from Snake.
Laskey takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Snake tries to land a front kick but Laskey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Snake looks to land a right hand but Laskey moved out of range. Snake scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Snake is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. You can see the frustration on Laskey's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Snake is rocked! Laskey lands a right hand that snaps the head of Snake backwards. Snake is still on wobbly legs! Can Laskey finish him? Laskey throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Laskey keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Snake's efforts to push away. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Snake is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Laskey working Snake over with knees to the body.

Laskey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Snake swats away the attempt to clinch by Laskey. Laskey is pawing at Snake, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Snake's nose. Snake is badly hurt! Laskey pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Snake tries desperately to hold on but Laskey is relentless in his assault! As Snake receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Laskey away and this one is in the books!
