Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoshi Kajiwara!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akaba misses with a head kick.
Kajiwara throws a half hearted mid kick.
Akaba throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kajiwara takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No joy there for Akaba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Akaba keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Akaba is looking to clinch but Kajiwara is avoiding it.
Kajiwara tries to clinch there but Akaba circles away.
Akaba misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kajiwara bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No luck for Kajiwara with that takedown attempt.
Kajiwara shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kajiwara scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Akaba doesn't seem bothered though.
Kajiwara tests Akaba's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Akaba pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Akaba is breathing heavily.
Akaba tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kajiwara was well out of range. Poor timing from Akaba.
Kajiwara moves into range and clinches up with Akaba.
Kajiwara breaks the clinch.
A head kick from Kajiwara lands but Akaba takes it in his stride.
It looks like Hayato Akaba has been cut.

Kajiwara fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kajiwara moves out of range of the leg kick from Akaba.

Kajiwara lets loose with a powerful body kick. Akaba will feel that in the morning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kajiwara closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kajiwara escapes and gets back to his feet.
Akaba has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kajiwara.
Kajiwara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kajiwara pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kajiwara drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kajiwara has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Akaba slaps away a takedown attempt from Kajiwara, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A head kick lands from Kajiwara that sends Akaba to the canvas. Akaba tries to scramble back to his feet but Kajiwara brings him back down into side control.
Akaba is rocked!
Check out the look on Kajiwara's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Oh Akaba is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kajiwara decides to stand up, so the ref orders Akaba to his feet.
Kajiwara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Akaba seems to have got his legs back now.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kajiwara.
Hayato Akaba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Satoshi Kajiwara.
Kajiwara thuds his shin into the meat of Akaba's side.

Kajiwara gets a clinch.
Akaba jumps guard but Kajiwara stands there with Akaba around his waist. Akaba gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kajiwara scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kajiwara escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Akaba throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kajiwara misses with a head kick.
Kajiwara misses with the combination.
Kajiwara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Horrible takedown by Kajiwara or perhaps it was just good defense by Akaba which made him look bad.

Kajiwara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kajiwara clinches up with Akaba and pushes him back against the cage.

Kajiwara pulls Akaba into guard.
Akaba stops Kajiwara from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akaba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kajiwara swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kajiwara looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kajiwara working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Akaba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Akaba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kajiwara uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Satoshi Kajiwara dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hayato Akaba's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kajiwara throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Akaba stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kajiwara follows into mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kajiwara lands with some strikes.
Kajiwara trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Satoshi Kajiwara has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kajiwara is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Kajiwara throws a looping overhand right but Akaba ducks down to avoid it.
Kajiwara misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Akaba wants to slow Kajiwara down by chopping away at his legs.
Kajiwara lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Akaba crumples to the floor! Kajiwara milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
