Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bull Hurley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timothy Tims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timothy Tims is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bull Hurley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timothy Tims!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurley takes a swing at Tims's ribcage but misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hurley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hurley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tims circles away from the clinch attempt
and Tims counters with a thumping low kick.
Tims thuds his shin into the meat of Hurley's side.
Hurley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hurley there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tims connects with a solid leg kick.
Hurley moves to clinch but Tims breaks away
and Tims counters with a nice kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tims throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tims stuffs the takedown attempt from Hurley. Hurley gets slowly back to his feet.
Hurley is breathing heavily.

Tims moves into the clinch.
Tims tries a knee to the head but Hurley blocks it.
Tims lands an elbow inside.

Tims's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tims takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Tims throws a nice inside leg kick.
Tims scores with a leg kick.
Tims connects with an inside leg kick.

Tims rushes Hurley and presses him up against the cage.
Tims lands an elbow inside that Hurley shrugs off.


It looks like Bull Hurley has been cut.
Tims lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Tims slows down the pace here.
Tims scores a nice knee to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tims lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Tims's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Timothy Tims is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hurley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tims can pounce on him.
Tims lands with a kick to the temple. Hurley shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Hurley gets tackled into the cage by Tims. Tims maintains the clinch.

Tims drags the fight down to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Tims looking for a guillotine here but Hurley defends easily.

Tims has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hurley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tims avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Tims managing to control the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hurley's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Tims is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hurley defends well.
Hurley pushing down on Tims's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tims keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tims is staying active underneath Hurley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hurley wants to stand up but Tims has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Tims slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Hurley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Tims has his foot on Hurley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hurley works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hurley's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Tims working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hurley has passed into half guard!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tims has hold of Hurley's hands but Hurley slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timothy Tims dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bull Hurley's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Tims with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tims connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Hurley dives in and grabs Tims's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tims pushes down on Hurley's head and hops out.
Timothy Tims seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tims looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tims, right into the meat.

Tims's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hurley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bull Hurley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hurley on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tims turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hurley has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bull Hurley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hurley closes the distance and clinches up with Tims, looking for a takedown. Hurley pushes Tims against the cage but Tims circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tims fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hurley has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hurley is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Hurley takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tims throws a head kick that Hurley semi-blocks.
Tims fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hurley has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Tims crunches a lovely knee into Hurley's ribcage.

Tims jumps guard.

Tims had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hurley defends it easily.
Tims is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tims wants to sweep here but Hurley controlling him for the moment.

Tims has his foot on Hurley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hurley works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hurley trying to control the position from guard on top but Tims is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hurley trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tims's guard.
Hurley wants to control from the top but Tims keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tims escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hurley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hurley stops Tims from standing up.

Hurley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Tims has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hurley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tims.
Tims gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Hurley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tims is looking to escape.

Hurley working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hurley trying to control but Tims is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tims tries to hold on but Hurley pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timothy Tims showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Tims plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Hurley tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Tims counters with a right hand to the body.
Hurley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tims swivels and escapes.

Tims has managed to clinch.

Tims successfully pulls guard.

Tims escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hurley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tims wants to stand and escape but Hurley is having none of it.
Hurley looking to pass the guard.

Tims working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hurley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hurley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tims can do anything to dispel that myth.
Tims takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hurley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hurley trying to control but Tims is working from the bottom.
Hurley is fighting to break Tims's control of his arms but Tims is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Hurley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Hurley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tims is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tims wants to control but Hurley postures up.
Tims is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hurley off and has taken his back!

Hurley has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Tims missing with strikes from the back.
Tims really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hurley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tims has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hurley has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Tims is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Hurley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hurley stands and throws Tims's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hurley cracks Tims with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tims wants to control but Hurley postures up.
Hurley lands an elbow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hurley thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tims tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hurley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bull Hurley.
I think Tims has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
