Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brett Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renaldo Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett Henderson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Brett Henderson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega digs a good hook to Henderson's body.
Vega slow jab from Henderson misses its intended target.
Henderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vega shoots in and drives through. Henderson sprawls well.
Vega steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Henderson. That one must have hurt.
Henderson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Renaldo Vega has been cut.
Henderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Henderson lands in his opponent's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vega tries to roll over but Henderson keeps him under control.

Henderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vega as he jumps to the side.
Vega throws a series of punches but Henderson moves out of range.
Henderson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Henderson is breathing heavily.
Vega is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Henderson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Vega is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Henderson pulls his head out easily.

Vega had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Henderson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vega Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Henderson's back instead.
Henderson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Vega looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Henderson is controlling Vega 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
Vega throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Henderson escapes and throws Vega's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Vega wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Henderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vega on the ground.
Vega is desperately trying to improve his position but Henderson has a good base and remains in mount.

Henderson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Vega has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Henderson is looking to defend but Vega has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Henderson! Vega pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Henderson taps out and this one is all over!
