Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Martelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eddie Chase!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase misses with a double jab.
Chase throws a one two combo.

Chase feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Martellis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Martelli fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chase, pushing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chase lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Chase connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Martelli tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chase sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martelli somewhat.
Chase tries to bum rush Martelli with a series of wild strikes but Martelli uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chase lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Martelli throws a jab but it's blocked by Chase.
Chase scores with a punch to the head.

Martelli tries for a takedown but Chase sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chase.

Chase might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Martelli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chase tries to avoid it but Martelli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chase to the ground. Chase escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chase will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chase stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Chase swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Martelli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chase's waist but Chase gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Martelli off to one side.
