The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Marcus Ulisses has been cut.
Panuway misses with an uppercut. Ulisses saw that one coming.

Panuway clinches up with Ulisses and pushes him back against the cage.
Panuway tries to land knees in the clinch but Ulisses avoids the damage to the body.
Panuway misses with an elbow strike.
Ulisses blocks an elbow strike.
Panuway pushes off an throws an elbow but Ulisses leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Panuway lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Panuway tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ulisses avoids it.

Panuway pushes off an throws an elbow but Ulisses leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Ulisses on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Panuway lands a vicious elbow to the side of Ulisses's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Panuway tries to finish him with strikes but Ulisses still seems able to defend himself so Panuway steps back and lets Ulisses get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

That has opened up Marcus Ulisses's cut even more.

Panuway instigates a clinch.
Ulisses should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Panuway throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Panuway has Ulisses pressed against the cage, preventing Ulisses from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Panuway gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The cut above Marcus Ulisses's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Panuway is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ulisses is defending well for now.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Panuway takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ulisses is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Panuway creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ulisses's defenses.

Marcus Ulisses's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marcus Ulisses's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
