Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Oliveira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitsuakii Inose!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Oliveira.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oliveira looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Inose swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Inose swinging wildly here.
A punch combination from Inose misses.
Oliveira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Oliveira stands and throws Inose's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Oliveira decides to stand up, so the ref orders Inose to his feet.
Inose misses with the combination.
Inose dodges the punch combination from Oliveira.
Oliveira misses with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Inose shoots and misses
and Oliveira moves into the clinch.
Oliveira has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Inose uses from the top position.
Inose has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Oliveira to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Inose is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Oliveira pulls down on the head and he's put Inose to sleep! This one is all over!
