Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Wertman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiden Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yates has chosen Sing 4 England - Chris Kamara as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brendan Wertman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aiden Yates! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wertman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wertman instigates a clinch. Wertman taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Yates has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Wertman is trying to keep an underhook but Yates manages to get the takedown into half guard. Yates wants to pass to mount but Wertman is defending the position. Wertman tries to get to full guard but Yates has control of the leg. Yates is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Wertman controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Yates wants to get back to his feet.
Wertman actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yates tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Wertman. Yates trying to control the action but Wertman is working from the bottom. Yates wants to pass the guard but Wertman is defending well. Yates wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wertman wants to improve his position but Yates is controlling well.
Yates should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Wertman punching from the bottom.
Yates trying to mount his opponent but Wertman defends it. Wertman throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Yates really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wertman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wertman scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Yates manages to mount him!
Wertman sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Yates is trying to control. Wertman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yates is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Wertman punching from the bottom.

Wertman is controlling Yates's position as best he can from this difficult position. Wertman pushes Yates off and gets back to his feet. Wertman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wertman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yates defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brendan Wertman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yates tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wertman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yates keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wertman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yates sprawls well. Yates wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wertman gets slowly back to his feet. No luck for Wertman with that takedown attempt. Yates defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wertman. Wertman is breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yates tries to clinch there but Wertman circles away.
Brendan Wertman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yates is looking to clinch. Wertman closes the distance and pushes Yates back into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brendan Wertman will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jab, jab by Yates - just one landing. Brendan Wertman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wertman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yates swivels and escapes. Wertman moves into the clinch. Wertman tries to land a knee to the head but Yates blocks with his arms.
Yates throws an elbow that misses.
A frustrated look appears on Yates's face as he tries to break the clinch. Wertman stalling the fight.
Yates crunches a lovely knee into Wertman's ribcage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yates misses with a body punch.
Yates breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yates is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Yates is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wertman throws a jab but it's blocked by Yates. Yates fails in his attempt to clinch. Yates scores with a kick to the midsection. Yates scores with a kick to the midsection. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Good shot there by Yates. Yates lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Wertman blocks a head kick by Yates.
Yates lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Yates fails in his attempt to clinch. Yates fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice takedown defense from Wertman. No joy for Yates on that attempt. Wertman misses with a shot to the body enabling Yates to counter with a crisp jab. Wertman leaves Yates with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wertman keeps the fight on the outside. Yates looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wertman is fending him off so far but Yates persists. Nope, Wertman circles away and we're back to standing. Brendan Wertman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aiden Yates. Wertman keeps the fight on the outside. Wertman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wertman slips a jab and a cross from Yates.
Yates rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wertman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Yates tries a head kick but it misses.
Yates closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wertman did well to prevent Yates getting side control. Yates is keen to just control but Wertman is a slippery customer. Yates working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Wertman's thigh. Wertman counters though and makes it back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yates wants to stand but Wertman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Wertman has his foot on Yates's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yates works his way back into a safe position though. Wertman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wertman keeping moving, preventing Yates from controlling successfully. Yates tries to stand but Wertman is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wertman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Yates postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wertman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yates's waist but Yates gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wertman off to one side. Yates is looking to clinch but Wertman is avoiding it.
Nice sprawl there from Wertman as Yates shoots in. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wertman shoots in looking for a takedown but Yates manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wertman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Yates thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Wertman if he has to take too many more of those.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aiden Yates showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Nice takedown defense from Yates. No joy for Wertman on that attempt. Yates turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Yates throws a right hand that Wertman ducks under and follows up with a left that Wertman also avoids with ease. Wertman throws a head kick that misses and Yates counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wertman thinking. Yates has a takedown stuffed. Yates fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Yates tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Yates tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wertman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wertman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yates changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wertman tries to avoid it but Yates manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wertman to the ground. Wertman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Wertman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yates as he jumps to the side. Yates is looking to clinch but Wertman is avoiding it.
Yates wants to clinch. Wertman shoots for a takedown but Yates saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brendan Wertman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yates is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Yates has managed to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yates throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wertman blocks it with crossed arms. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Wertman. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Yates lands a knee to the body.
Yates scores with an uppercut up the middle. Wertman is defending well against a takedown attempt. Yates breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yates tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wertman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Yates wants to clinch. Yates tries to clinch but Wertman is having none of it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wertman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Yates misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yates shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Yates tries to clinch up. Yates darts in trying to clinch and Wertman counters with a single leg into guard. Yates didn't expect that. Yates looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Aiden Yates has got the better of the ground game so far. Wertman trying to control the position from guard on top but Yates is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yates wants to stand but Wertman is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yates controls Wertman momentarily but Wertman frees himself. Yates working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wertman. Yates avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wertman's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We're going to have a standup here because Brendan Wertman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Wertman moves out of range of the body kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yates fails with an attempt to clinch.
Yates shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wertman sprawls well. Wertman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yates gets slowly back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Aiden Yates comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Yates has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
