The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uusivirta lands a lovely overhand right.
Freeman misses with a head kick.
Freeman throws a body kick that misses.
Freeman throws a low kick but Uusivirta moves out of range easily.
Freeman takes a jab right on the kisser.
Uusivirta dodges the punch combination from Freeman.
Freeman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Huey Freeman has been cut.
Freeman throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Freeman looks to land a left hand but Uusivirta moved out of range nicely.
Freeman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Freeman checks a leg kick.
Uusivirta swinging wildly here.
Uusivirta finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Freeman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Uusivirta looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Freeman wants to control but Uusivirta is keeping him busy.

Freeman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Uusivirta keeps working.

Uusivirta takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Freeman has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Uusivirta is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Freeman yanks on the arm and Uusivirta is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Freeman.
