Luis is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Andre Luis has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daya Donstone!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donstone dives in and scores a takedown into Luis's guard.
Luis is breathing heavily.
Luis keeping moving, preventing Donstone from controlling successfully.
Donstone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Luis is keeping the position for now.
Donstone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Donstone chips away with some ground and pound.
Donstone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Donstone showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Donstone's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Donstone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Luis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Daya Donstone.
Donstone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Donstone drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Donstone gets to his feet - Luis follows without any prompting.

Luis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Donstone to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Donstone stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Donstone closes the distance and clinches.

Donstone manages to break the clinch.

Donstone shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Luis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Luis is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Donstone performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Donstone looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Luis pushes Donstone off looking to stand but Donstone dives back in and keeps control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Daya Donstone hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Donstone dives in and scores a takedown into Luis's guard.
Donstone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Donstone postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Luis keeping moving, preventing Donstone from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Luis has his feet on Donstone's thighs here. He's pushed Donstone off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Donstone screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Andre Luis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
