Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy Garcilazo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Snake Eater!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcilazo scores with a takedown into Eater's guard.
Eater preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcilazo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Garcilazo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Garcilazo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eater works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Garcilazo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eater can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcilazo advances position into side control!
Garcilazo looks up at the clock and then as Eater takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Garcilazo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Garcilazo tries to move to mount but Eater blocks the move with his legs.
The ground and pound from Garcilazo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Garcilazo staying calm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garcilazo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Eater some visible discomfort.


It looks like Snake Eater has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Garcilazo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Eater will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Garcilazo scores with a couple of short elbows.


That has opened up Snake Eater's cut even more.
Garcilazo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Eater seems a little lost for a moment, as Garcilazo dominates the positioning.
Garcilazo in side control lands a decent elbow.


Snake Eater's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Snake Eater's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Teddy Garcilazo!
