Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Saenchai Sor Kingstar!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Kingstar shows good takedown defense.
Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kingstar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kingstar throws a hook but Johnson avoids it easily.
Johnson throws a combination that misses
and Kingstar counters with an outside leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Kingstar.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kingstar takes the fight into the clinch.
Johnson is looking for a takedown.

Kingstar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Kingstar shows good takedown defense.

Kingstar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Johnson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kingstar looking for a sweep. Not yet Kingstar, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kingstar keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.

Kingstar working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kingstar is keeping the position for now.
Johnson won't allow Kingstar to sweep him here.
Kingstar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Johnson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kingstar's guard.
Kingstar is looking to improve his position.

Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.

Kingstar kicks off Johnson and gets to his feet.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kingstar as he avoids it easily.
Kingstar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.

Kingstar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kingstar trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom.

Kingstar tries to pass to full mount but Johnson defends it.

Kingstar seems to be working for a kimura but Johnson defends the submission attempt.
Kingstar looks to land a strike but Johnson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Kingstar has gone for a leg lock! Johnson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kingstar's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kingstar keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kingstar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is stalling in the full guard.

Kingstar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kingstar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Johnson advances to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Saenchai Sor Kingstar will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kingstar to the ground. Johnson is now in Kingstar's guard.

Thomas Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Johnson working for a triangle but Kingstar defends it easily.

Johnson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kingstar doesn't defend quickly enough and Johnson has managed to lock this one up! Can Kingstar escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Johnson on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Thomas Johnson!
