Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Demetrious Bingham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, The Demon Knight!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bingham walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bingham on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Knight is looking to land body kicks.
The Demon Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight misses with a kick to the body.
Crunch! Knight slams his shin into Bingham's torso.
Bingham dives in and scores a takedown into Knight's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bingham trying to control but Knight is working from the bottom.
Bingham working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bingham wants to pass the guard but Knight is keeping the position.
Bingham stands up over Knight, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bingham throws a big right hand that misses.
Bingham is looking to work some ground and pound but Knight has wrist control.
Bingham stands and throws Knight's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bingham looks up at the clock and then as Knight takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bingham smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Bingham misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Bingham is chipping away with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Knight is pushing Bingham's head away, looking to escape. Bingham manages to hold on to the position though.
Bingham connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Knight some visible discomfort.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bingham has control of an arm but Knight manages to advance to Bingham's back!
Bingham breaks Knight's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Bingham scoring with some ground and pound.
Bingham passes into half guard.
Bingham lands strikes from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bingham passes to side control.
Bingham is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Knight is trying to escape and Bingham transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Knight is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bingham! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Demetrious Bingham!
After the fight, Demetrious Bingham was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
