Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JJ Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thomas tries to avoid it but Harrison manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thomas to the ground. Thomas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Harrison is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thomas is defended easily by Harrison.
Thomas tries for a takedown but Harrison sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Harrison tries to sprawl but Thomas drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Harrison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Thomas decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
A head kick misses from Harrison.

Thomas looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Harrison!
Thomas controlling the pace for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harrison is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Harrison is in all sorts of trouble here.
Thomas content just to control the position here.
You get the feeling that Harrison really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thomas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Thomas has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Thomas is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Harrison is forced to tap! Great finish!
