Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spud Spud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koyomuki Yashigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koyomuki Yashigawa acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spud Spud! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Koyomuki Yashigawa! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spud throws a right and a left that Yashigawa avoids nicely. Spud rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yashigawa counters with a series of strikes. Spud will be more careful next time no doubt. A jab lands there for Spud. Spud misses with a hook. Yashigawa ducked under it nicely. Yashigawa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Spud's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Spud is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Yashigawa stops Spud from getting back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yashigawa is nestled in close to Spud, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Yashigawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spud. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spud gets full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Spud is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Spud won't allow Yashigawa to sweep him here. Spud tries to stand but Yashigawa is controlling from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yashigawa is working an open guard so Spud takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Yashigawa shoots in for a double leg but Spud sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Yashigawa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spud.

and Yashigawa counters with a single leg into guard. Spud didn't expect that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spud is trying to control the position but Yashigawa postures up. Yashigawa throwing strikes but missing. Spud is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. This has been an exciting period of action! Spud wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spud decides to stand up. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Spud, as that shot connected.
Spud cracks Yashigawa with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Yashigawa looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Spud finish him?
Yashigawa is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spud throws an overhand right that has Yashigawa reeling! Spud follows up with more punches and Yashigawa is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Spud Spud!
