Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piki Hoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hodson comes to the cage accompanied by Break Some Off by KoRn. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Hodson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Piki Hoki! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Hoki with that takedown attempt. Hoki slips a jab and a cross from Hodson.
Hoki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hodson avoids it really well and circles away. Hoki closes the distance and clinches. Hoki looking to throw knees to the head but Hodson is blocking nicely.
Hoki drags the fight down to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hodson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hoki is looking to stand up but Hodson isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Matt Hodson just wasn't active enough. Hoki gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Hoki is looking to clinch. Hodson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hodson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hoki.
Matt Hodson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piki Hoki. Hoki is looking to control Hodson's arms but Hodson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hoki has his back to the cage. Hoki missing with knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoki is trying to maintain a safe position but Hodson gets an underhook and turns Hoki into the cage. Hoki pulls guard. Hodson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hodson cracks Hoki with a good jab. Hodson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hoki doesn't seem bothered though. Hoki looks gassed! Hodson lands a big uppercut and Hoki crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hoki looks OK. Hodson waves Hoki back to his feet!
Hoki is rocked! Hoki leaves his chin hanging out and Hodson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Hoki crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
