Johnson's entrance music is If you want blood, you got it by AC/DC . A fine choice. The key to victory for Rebel Johnson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maricue Russel! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russel throws an overhand right that lands on Johnson's shoulder, as Johnson tries to avoid the shot. Russel looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well. Johnson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Russel. Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Russel slips the punch. Russel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Johnson ducks under a wild hook from Russel. Johnson misses with a looping left. Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Russel to the mat! Russel manages to get full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Johnson wants to stand but Russel is controlling his posture from full guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Russel has wrist control. Russel keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson won't allow Russel to sweep him here. Johnson pushes down on Russel's leg and manages to get into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Russel shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rebel Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Russel distracts Johnson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Russel looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Russel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Russel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Russel throws a big right hand that misses. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Johnson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Johnson is looking for a kimura but Russel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Johnson to get the leverage. Johnson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson with the ground and pound but Russel regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Johnson trying to control the pace. Russel wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ground and pound from Johnson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson stands up from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rebel Johnson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Russel quickly recovers to half guard. Johnson is looking for a kimura but Russel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Johnson to get the leverage. Oh, Russel has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Russel wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Russel tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Russel is trying to ground and pound but Johnson uses the momentary lack of control by Russel to regain half guard.

Russel is just content to waste time from the top position. Johnson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Johnson is looking for a triangle but Russel pushes his legs off easily.

Johnson keeping moving, preventing Russel from controlling successfully. Russel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Russel content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Johnson has locked up a guillotine! Johnson's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Russel is holding on here and Johnson must be using up a lot of energy. Russel has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Johnson gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
