Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabiano Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Westinghouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Westinghouse is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabiano Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Westinghouse! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Fabiano Silva has been cut. A jab from Westinghouse finds it's way through Silva's defenses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Westinghouse defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva. Silva throws a right and a left that both miss. Westinghouse closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Silva can't do much from the bottom here. Westinghouse wants to stand but Silva has his arm trapped. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Westinghouse wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Westinghouse tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Westinghouse stands up and beckons Silva to his feet. A punch combination from Westinghouse misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Westinghouse shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Westinghouse takes the fight into the clinch. Westinghouse lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Westinghouse with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Westinghouse has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Silva tries to stall but Westinghouse uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Silva tries to throw a body punch but Westinghouse avoids it by throwing Silva back against the cage. Silva lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Westinghouse. Westinghouse looks gassed! Silva taking a breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Westinghouse has Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Westinghouse lands an elbow just above Silva 's eye. Westinghouse misses with a knee strike.
Westinghouse throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Silva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Westinghouse is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silva to the mat. Silva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Silva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Westinghouse wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position. Silva will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Westinghouse doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Silva is tightening it up a little... Westinghouse has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Westinghouse reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Westinghouse taps out! Nice BJJ there by Silva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Fabiano Silva! An out of breath Fabiano Silva thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
