Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Morningstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eminem - Lose yourself. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamie Morningstar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Silva! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morningstar tries a head kick but it misses.
Morningstar shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Morningstar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Morningstar moves away from the strike by Silva. Morningstar misses with a series of wild punches.
Morningstar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva throws out a powerful jab. Morningstar blocks the body kick.
Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard. Morningstar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Morningstar tries to get out of the position. Silva controlling from the top position. Silva lands a couple of elbows. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Morningstar looking for a sweep. Not yet Morningstar, not yet. Morningstar trying to keep a closed guard but Silva is proving a slippery customer.
Silva wants to control from the top but Morningstar keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Silva is in close to Morningstar's body, working some short punches and elbows. Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Morningstar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Silva scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Morningstar wants to sweep but no luck. Silva postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morningstar wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morningstar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Silva. Morningstar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Morningstar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva passes easily into side control. Nice work. Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders Morningstar to his feet. Silva throws a jab but it's blocked by Morningstar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target. Morningstar shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morningstar. Silva throws a hook to the side of Morningstar's head but Morningstar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Morningstar throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease. A punch combination from Silva misses. Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Silva takes the fight into the clinch. Silva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Morningstar regains guard.
Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Silva wants to control from the top but Morningstar keeps moving. Morningstar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Morningstar looking for a sweep. Not yet Morningstar, not yet. Silva loads up on a big left hand. Morningstar felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Silva looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Morningstar can't hide his disappointment, as Silva celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antonio Silva! Antonio Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
