The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gardner was well out of range. Poor timing from Carver.
Gardner checks the leg kick.
Some wild striking there from Carver.
Gardner forces Carver back against the cage and clinches.
Carver is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Carver wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gardner breaks the clinch.
Carver misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carver attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Carver gets caught napping as Gardner dives in and scores a takedown. Carver manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gardner passes Carver's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gardner works his foot free and advances to mount.

Gardner looking to isolate an arm here. Carver doesn't see it coming and as Gardner extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Gardner!
