The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knuckles shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Munoz defends it nicely.

Munoz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knuckles is just riding it out for now. Munoz eventually gives up the hold.

Munoz is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Knuckles still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Knuckles has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Knuckles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Munoz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oh but Munoz is tightening it up a little... Knuckles has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Knuckles reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Knuckles taps out! Nice BJJ there by Munoz!
