Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Devins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Stephenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stephenson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly - Ennio Morricone. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Devins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Stephenson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stephenson is looking to clinch but Devins is avoiding it.
Jim Stephenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Devins looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Stephenson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Devins counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Stephenson tries to roll over but Devins keeps him under control.
Stephenson is trying to control but can't.
Devins prevents Stephenson from improving his position.
Stephenson is trying to control but can't.
Devins slows the pace down in half guard.
Stephenson tries to get to full guard but Devins has control of the leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Devins throws a head kick that misses
and Stephenson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stephenson works over Devins's head and body with a nice combination.
Stephenson lands a jab-cross combination.
Stephenson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Stephenson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Devins's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stephenson trying to control the position from guard on top but Devins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stephenson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Devins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stephenson is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Stephenson trying to control the position from guard on top but Devins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Stephenson was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Stephenson moves into range and clinches up with Devins.
Stephenson is trying to drag Devins to the mat but Devins just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stephenson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stephenson tries to score with a low kick but Devins moves his leg out of the way.
Stephenson tries to clinch there but Devins circles away.
Stephenson tries for a takedown but Devins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Devins avoids the head kick by Stephenson.
Stephenson misses with a takedown attempt - Devins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bobby Devins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Stephenson.
Stephenson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A jab from Stephenson finds it's way through Devins's defenses.
Stephenson throws a one two combo.
Stephenson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Devins as he avoids it easily.
Stephenson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Stephenson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Devins.
Stephenson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Devins doesn't seem bothered though.
Stephenson throws a head kick that misses.
Stephenson looks to land a combination. Devins sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Stephenson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Devins defends it nicely.

Devins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stephenson, pushing him back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stephenson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Devins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stephenson looking to slow down the pace here.
Stephenson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Stephenson gets underhooks to prevent Devins's takedown attempt.
Devins letting Stephenson take a breather here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stephenson lands a body punch in the clinch.

Stephenson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Stephenson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Devins is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Stephenson throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Devins is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jim Stephenson!
