PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Horse Ground Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ground Fighter has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cole Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Horse Ground Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burns shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ground Fighter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cole Burns.

Burns closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Burns seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ground Fighter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Burns is looking to advance position but Ground Fighter won't allow it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cole Burns just wasn't active enough.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We're going to have a standup here because Cole Burns wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Burns turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Burns manages to end up in side control.
