Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Mel Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manhoef has a takedown stuffed.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Manhoef is defended easily by Coleman .
Manhoef throws a right and a left that Coleman avoids nicely.
Coleman connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Manhoef fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Mel Manhoef. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Coleman wants to control but Manhoef is having none of it.
Coleman is squirming around, avoiding Manhoef's attempts to control the action.
Coleman is looking to improve his position but Manhoef isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coleman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Coleman tries to hold on but Manhoef pushes him away.
Manhoef will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Manhoef has hold of Coleman 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Coleman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Manhoef wants to control the pace but Coleman is squirming around nicely.
You get the feeling that Coleman really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Coleman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Coleman tries to lock up and control but Manhoef gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Coleman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Coleman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Manhoef is working away from the top position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Manhoef looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Manhoef misses with a takedown attempt - Coleman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Manhoef is in a horrible position here. Coleman smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Manhoef is desperately trying to improve his position but Coleman has a good base and remains in mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coleman avoids the attempt from Manhoef to control.
Coleman looking to finish Manhoef with some ground and pound. This is bad for Manhoef!

Manhoef shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Coleman defends it nicely.

and Coleman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Manhoef's guard now.
Coleman chips away with some ground and pound.
Coleman passes into half guard.
Manhoef won't allow Coleman to pass to mount.
Manhoef is trying to maintain the position but Coleman is very close to passing his half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coleman lands a nice short elbow.


Jeez, Big Mel Manhoef's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Big Mel Manhoef's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Black Coleman ! Black Coleman retains his heavyweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Black Coleman thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
