Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joseph Von Minoza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, tj Miller! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minoza misses with a hook. Miller ducked under it nicely. Minoza's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Minoza duly obliges. Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch. Miller is trying to pull guard but Minoza has him pressed against the cage. Miller is looking to take this one to the mat. Minoza is trying to break free. Miller is looking to take this one to the mat. Joseph Von Minoza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of tj Miller. Minoza is looking to break free of the clinch but Miller has double underhooks. Miller is looking for a takedown. Minoza wants to break free but Miller has control.
Miller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miller steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Minoza. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Minoza lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Miller looks gassed! Miller lands a head kick. Minoza smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Minoza throws the left hand but Miller avoids the punch easily. Minoza throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Miller doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Minoza lands a really nice looking cross but Miller seems unphased.
The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Minoza lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Minoza lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Minoza fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Miller is rocked! Miller is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Miller is still on wobbly legs! Can Minoza finish him? Minoza throws a hook to the side of Miller's head but Miller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Minoza looks to land a right hand but Miller moved out of range. Miller seems to have recovered his senses. Minoza throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Miller counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Miller trying to mount his opponent but Minoza defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Minoza is trying to stand back up but Miller is controlling him
Minoza tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Miller manages to move to mount!
Minoza is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Minoza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground. Miller swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Minoza is now in Miller's guard. A big mistake from Miller there, giving up the dominant position!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minoza tries to stand but Miller is controlling from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minoza has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Miller is looking to stand up but Minoza isn't so interested in that idea. Minoza has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Miller is proving hard to escape from. Miller looking to control.
Minoza won't allow Miller to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Minoza stands and steps away. Miller gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Miller. Miller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Minoza connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Miller momentarily.
Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Miller drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Minoza throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Miller walks into a straight right hand from Minoza. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Minoza sprawls well. Minoza wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Miller gets slowly back to his feet. Minoza connects with the punch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Minoza scores with a body shot.
Miller digs a good body shot into Minoza's ribs. Nice uppercut lands for Minoza. That snapped Miller's head back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph Von Minoza dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Miller fails with a takedown attempt. Miller walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nice takedown defense from Minoza. No joy for Miller on that attempt. Miller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Minoza. Joseph Von Minoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Minoza. Joseph Von Minoza is winning the standup battle so far. Minoza waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Miller. Minoza scores with a punch to the head. Minoza thows a left - swing and a miss! Minoza fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Miller looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Miller is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Minoza jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Minoza avoids it really well and circles away. Joseph Von Minoza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of tj Miller.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minoza closes the distance and lands a one-two. Minoza tests Miller's chin there with a solid looking shot. Joseph Von Minoza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A jab-cross combination lands for Minoza and sends Miller crashing to the mat! Minoza follows him down to the mat - Miller regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! This has been an exciting period of action! Minoza is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Minoza decides to stand up. Miller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Minoza. A combination from Minoza does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Minoza. Jab from Minoza. Minoza thows a left - swing and a miss! No luck with that takedown attempt from Miller. Miller avoids a punch combination nicely.
Minoza's corner calls for a 1-2. Minoza obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt. Minoza fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Miller on the side of the head. tj Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Miller fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Miller ducks under a wild hook from Minoza. Minoza throws a good cross that connects.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller walks into a jab. Minoza scores with a decent looking hook. Minoza displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Miller takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Miller has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Minoza rushes Miller with punches - Miller moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Miller goes down! Minoza follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joseph Von Minoza!
