Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Long Haired Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks throws a head kick that misses.
Samson looks to score with a jab to the body but Hicks is just out of range.
Samson throws a right hand that Hicks ducks under and follows up with a left that Hicks also avoids with ease.
Hicks staying out of range there.
A combination from Hicks does no damage.
Nice defenses there by Samson.
Samson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hicks sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Hicks tries a head kick but it misses.

Long Haired Samson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Samson cracks Hicks with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Hicks tries to bum rush Samson with a series of wild strikes but Samson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hicks is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Samson sees it coming and defends easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Long Haired Samson will probably get the nod.

Samson catches Hicks with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Samson stands up over Hicks, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dante Hicks's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dante Hicks's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
