Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock comes to the ring accompanied by Mortal Kombat theme song. McDonald has chosen How do ya like me now? as his entrance music. Ronald McDonald has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ken Shamrock's chin.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ronald McDonald! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamrock misses with a hook
and McDonald counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McDonald. McDonald tries a knee to the head but Shamrock blocks it.
McDonald tries to land knees in the clinch but Shamrock avoids the damage to the body. McDonald with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Shamrock drops down looking for an ankle pick but McDonald pulls his leg out and moves away.
Shamrock throws a nice looking combination but McDonald bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice cross by Shamrock. Shamrock jabbing away but nothing is landing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Shamrock drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McDonald manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shamrock has McDonald in his guard. Shamrock has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. McDonald is looking to stand up but Shamrock won't let him. McDonald uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shamrock. McDonald tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Shamrock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A looping hook to the body misses from Shamrock. McDonald does a little dance to reset his feet. and McDonald moves into the clinch. Shamrock avoids a wild elbow strike from McDonald. McDonald gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Shamrock drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McDonald gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McDonald is pressed up against the ropes. Shamrock has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McDonald down to the mat. McDonald avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Shamrock is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McDonald's half guard. Shamrock trying to control the pace. Shamrock looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Shamrock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McDonald is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shamrock, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shamrock controlling the position. Shamrock might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. McDonald stopping the sweep attempt from Shamrock. Shamrock seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. McDonald won't allow Shamrock to sweep him here. Shamrock pulls McDonald in close to prevent any damage. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Ken Shamrock wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Shamrock lands a jab-cross combination.

Shamrock is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Shamrock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McDonald. McDonald slips a straight right by Shamrock. Shamrock misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McDonald.

The fight stays on the outside here - McDonald looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shamrock misses with a straight right. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shamrock scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Shamrock misses with an uppercut. McDonald moves to clinch but Shamrock breaks away and Shamrock cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shamrock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ronald McDonald has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Shamrock connects with a jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Ken Shamrock showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shamrock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
