Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chicken Beef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chicken Beef!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tsatsu Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi misses with a takedown
and Beef counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gomi is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Gomi shoots for a takedown but Beef saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Beef throws out a leg kick but Gomi moves out of range and Beef only half commits.
Beef is looking to clinch.
Beef looks to throw the jab but Gomi is out of range.
Beef misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beef slaps away a takedown attempt from Gomi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Chicken Beef has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tsatsu Gomi.
Beef swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Beef leaves Gomi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Beef, right into the meat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gomi is defended easily by Beef.

Beef is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Gomi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Gomi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Beef doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gomi.

Gomi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Chicken Beef will probably get the nod.

Gomi is looking to take a break and control but Beef is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gomi tries to move into full mount but can't pass Beef's legs.

Gomi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Beef is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gomi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beef keeps working.

Gomi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Beef, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Beef's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Beef is not content to let Gomi control the position.

Gomi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Beef has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gomi but great work by Beef.

Gomi tries to buck Beef off but Beef is having none of it.
Gomi is not content to let Beef control the position.

Beef stands up and beckons Gomi to his feet.
Gomi fails with a takedown attempt.

and Beef counters by moving into the clinch.
Gomi goes for a takedown attempt but Beef pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gomi.
Beef throws a hook but Gomi blocks it.
Beef tries to clinch but Gomi moves out of range.

Gomi misses with a takedown attempt - Beef sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Beef throws a leg kick which misses Gomi's front leg but catches the back leg as Gomi tries to avoid it.
Gomi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Beef connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Beef forces Gomi back against the cage and clinches.
Beef lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Beef breaks the clinch.
Gomi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beef pinned against the cage. Beef gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chicken Beef will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Gomi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gomi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beef looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Beef manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Beef seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gomi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tsatsu Gomi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gomi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Beef throws Gomi to one side and escapes!

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tsatsu Gomi.
I think Beef has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
