14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Pinto! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinto circles away from the clinch attempt.
Barra tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Barra takes a shot right to the bread basket. Pinto with a jab. Barra ducks under a wild hook from Pinto. Barra moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Pinto scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barra looking for submissions off his back. Pinto wants to free his trapped foot but Barra is holding on for dear life with his legs. Pinto stalling. Barra actively working from the bottom here. Barra makes his way to full guard. OK we're going to have a standup here. Jose Pinto hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Barra closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pinto circles away. Pinto uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Pinto misses with a wild body shot. Barra tries to close the distance and clinch but Pinto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pinto lands a nice shot to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action! Pinto not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pinto sitting and controlling from the half guard. Barra is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pinto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pinto's back! Pinto manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Barra is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Pinto.

Barra gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pinto to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pinto tries to free his leg and advance position but Barra is retaining full guard. Pinto is stalling in the full guard. Jose Pinto has got the better of the ground game so far. Barra looking for a triangle here. Pinto is fighting it but it looks tight! Barra pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Pinto is tapping out - this one is all over!
