Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Grape Ape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Brum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Grape Ape!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Brum!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ape is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brum sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ape misses with a combination
and Ape takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brum avoids the head kick by Ape.
Brum lands with a good body shot.
Brum throws a low kick but Ape moves out of range easily.
Brum instigates a clinch.
Brum escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ape misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ape shoots in looking for a takedown. Brum tries to sprawl out of it but Ape keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brum manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grape Ape. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ape tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Brum counters with a three punch combo that has Ape backing up. Ape nods at Brum to acknowledge the strikes.
Ape looks to clinch
and Brum counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brum pulls guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ape lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ape keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brum's head.
Brum keeping moving, preventing Ape from controlling successfully.
Ape drops back looking for a leg! Brum is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brum manages to kick Ape off! Ape jumps back into Brum's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brum can do anything to dispel that myth.
Brum wants to get back to his feet but Ape is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ape thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ape really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ape tries to free his leg and advance position but Brum is retaining full guard.
Brum is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ape dives into side control.
Brum takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ape wants to control but Brum is keeping him busy.
Ape has hold of Brum's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Brum tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ape cranks the arm and Brum screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brum, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Grape Ape!
