Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Vovchanchyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vovchanchyn has chosen Lights Out by Morbid Angel as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Masters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Igor Vovchanchyn! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vovchanchyn looks to land a combination but Masters avoids it well. Vovchanchyn misses with a shot to the body and Masters counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vovchanchyn's guard now. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Vovchanchyn pulls Masters in close to prevent any damage. Vovchanchyn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Masters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vovchanchyn is trying to keep Masters in close.
Masters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vovchanchyn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vovchanchyn is looking for a triangle but Masters pushes his legs off easily.
Masters throwing strikes but missing. Masters postures up.
Masters slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A decent looking cross lands there for Vovchanchyn. Horrible takedown by Masters or perhaps it was just good defense by Vovchanchyn which made him look bad. Vovchanchyn throws out a loose jab but Masters uses good head movement to avoid it. Igor Vovchanchyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Masters takes a shot right to the bread basket. Masters shoots in looking for a takedown. Vovchanchyn tries to sprawl out of it but Masters keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vovchanchyn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A big left from Masters misses. Vovchanchyn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Masters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Masters feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Masters drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Masters jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Masters content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masters lands a couple of elbows. Masters won't allow Vovchanchyn to sweep him here. Masters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vovchanchyn looking to control but Masters passes into half guard.
Still in half guard, Masters seems content to control. Vovchanchyn wants to get back to his feet. Vovchanchyn is looking to improve his position.
Masters perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vovchanchyn is looking to escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Masters. Vovchanchyn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Vovchanchyn just misses with a punch to the body.
Vovchanchyn misses with an uppercut. Masters saw that one coming. Vovchanchyn avoids the body shot from Masters.
Vovchanchyn misses the jab. Vovchanchyn's jab looks to have found its range, popping Masters under the eye. Masters takes a shot right to the bread basket. Masters shoots for a takedown but Vovchanchyn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Masters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masters is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vovchanchyn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Vovchanchyn clobbers Masters with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Vovchanchyn dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Masters throws a hook to the side of Vovchanchyn's head but Vovchanchyn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Masters uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vovchanchyn.
Masters shoots in for a double leg but Vovchanchyn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Masters misses with a leg kick. Masters takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vovchanchyn moves into range and connects with a jab. Masters closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vovchanchyn's guard. Vovchanchyn wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Masters manages to pass to side control. Vovchanchyn tries to roll over but Masters keeps him under control. Masters keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Masters is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vovchanchyn is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chris Masters will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Vovchanchyn digs a good body shot into Masters's ribs. Vovchanchyn lands a body shot.

Masters waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vovchanchyn. Igor Vovchanchyn seems to be getting the better of the standup. Masters bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Masters tries for a takedown but Vovchanchyn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Masters closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vovchanchyn quickly recovers to half guard. Vovchanchyn tries to roll over but Masters keeps him under control. Masters is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Vovchanchyn is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
