The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A jab-cross combination lands for Hendricks and sends Branton crashing to the mat! Hendricks follows him down to the mat - Branton regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Billy Branton has been cut.

Hendricks moves into full mount! Branton won't be happy about that!
Hendricks jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Branton is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Branton and Hendricks has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Branton seems to have recovered his senses.
Hendricks is trying to get an arm triangle but Branton is defending well.
Branton prevents Hendricks from moving into mount.
Branton is looking for a sweep.

Branton can't do much from the bottom here.
Hendricks is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Branton is trying to escape and Hendricks transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Branton is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hendricks! Very nice indeed!

Chris Hendricks decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
