PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexandr Suvorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ming Xin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suvorov comes to the cage accompanied by World in Conflict - Polyushko-Pole.. Xin has chosen Chinese Athem as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Suvorov tries to avoid it but Xin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Suvorov to the ground. Suvorov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Xin fails with a takedown attempt.
Xin shoots in but no luck this time.
Alexandr Suvorov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ming Xin.
Suvorov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Suvorov wants to sweep here but Xin controlling him for the moment.

Suvorov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Suvorov trying to keep a closed guard but Xin is proving a slippery customer.
Suvorov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Xin is controlling him.
Xin tries to free his leg and advance position but Suvorov is retaining full guard.

Xin won't allow Suvorov to sweep him here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Xin.
Xin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Suvorov.
Suvorov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Xin on the side of the head.
Xin needs to keep his hands up - Suvorov had a free shot at his head there.
Suvorov looks to land a left hand but Xin moved out of range nicely.
Xin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Xin throws the left hand but Suvorov avoids the punch easily.
Xin has a takedown stuffed.
Xin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Xin fails to land the takedown.

Xin misses with a straight left.
Suvorov slow jab from Xin misses its intended target.
Suvorov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Xin moves away.
Xin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Suvorov.
Alexandr Suvorov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Suvorov gets caught flat footed, as Xin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Xin advances to half guard.

Xin is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Suvorov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
