Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Goliath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for David Goliath has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, David Goliath! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Brooks! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goliath shoots for a takedown but Brooks saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brooks tries for a takedown but Goliath sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Goliath shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brooks but Brooks pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brooks fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Brooks shoots for a double leg takedown but Goliath sprawls well. He's pushed Brooks's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. David Goliath has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Brooks. Brooks closes the distance but Goliath moves to the side and Goliath counters with a left to the body. Goliath fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Brooks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Still in half guard, Brooks seems content to control. Goliath is looking for a sweep. Brooks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brooks is taking a breather. Goliath says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goliath is looking to control Brooks's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Goliath avoid being mounted?
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Goliath lands a nice looking body kick. Goliath tries for a takedown but Brooks circles away easily and Brooks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Goliath is breathing heavily. Brooks is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brooks works over Goliath with some ground and pound from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brooks postures up.
Brooks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Richard Brooks was stalling too much, according to the referee. Brooks shoots in for a takedown but Goliath shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Goliath tries to clinch but Brooks is having none of it. Brooks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brooks has a takedown stuffed. Goliath fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brooks, pushing him back against the cage. Brooks is trying to break the clinch but Goliath is controlling him. Goliath tries to score a body lock takedown but Brooks shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Brooks prevents the takedown attempt.

Brooks works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Brooks throws a strike but Goliath rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Goliath trying to control but Brooks is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brooks throws his legs up looking for a submission but Goliath uses it to pass to side control.
Goliath trying to control the position but Brooks is working away. Brooks is looking to regain half guard here but Goliath keeps moving and retains side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Goliath tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Brooks dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Brooks tries to clinch up but Goliath circles away and keeps his distance. Goliath fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brooks avoids it really well and circles away. Goliath drives through with a takedown into guard. Brooks looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Goliath has picked Brooks up and slammed him! Brooks can't keep hold of the triangle and Goliath manages to pass to side control! Brooks gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brooks is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Goliath's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Goliath's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks controls the position. Goliath wants to get back to his feet. Brooks controls the action. Brooks looking for the choke from the back. Brooks loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Goliath hold on?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brooks is working for a rear naked choke. Goliath is not defending it well and Brooks has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Goliath refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Goliath's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Richard Brooks!
