Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mulligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mulligan! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mulligan forces King back against the cage and clinches. King stops a takedown attempt from Mulligan.
Mulligan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but King pulls him back up using the underhooks. King prevents the takedown attempt.
Jimmy King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mulligan. King wants to get back to striking at distance but Mulligan won't allow it.
King tries to break free but Mulligan pushes him back against the cage. Mulligan wants to take the fight to the mat but King manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's one minute gone in the round. King wants to break free but Mulligan has control.
Mulligan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Mulligan has King pressed against the cage, preventing King from circling away and getting back to striking at range. King wants to break free but Mulligan has control.
A frustrated look appears on King's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mulligan wants to take the fight to the mat but King manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is trying to break the clinch but Mulligan has him pressed against the cage. Stalling in the clinch from King.
King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Mulligan prevents King from breaking the clinch. Mulligan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. King avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mulligan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mulligan gets slowly back to his feet. King scores with a nice body kick.
A good leg kick by King. Mulligan shoots in and drives through. King sprawls well. Both fighters circling a little - King finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Mulligan looks gassed! An inside leg kick from King misses. King tries to land a front kick but Mulligan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Frank Mulligan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A kick lands to the mid section there for King. King pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mulligan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but King swivels and escapes. Mulligan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from King. King throws a head kick that Mulligan semi-blocks.
It looks like Frank Mulligan has been cut. An inside leg kick lands from King. Jimmy King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. King fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mulligan is out of range. Good leg kick by King there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mulligan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from King. King lands a front kick. King throws a head kick but Mulligan moves out of range.
King connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. King lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mulligan will feel that in the morning. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. An inside leg kick from King misses. King defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mulligan. That kick from King tenderised Mulligan's leg. Mulligan is trying to keep his angry face on. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy King dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Mulligan's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

King leaves Mulligan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A head kick misses from King. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mulligan. Mulligan misses with a takedown attempt - King sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jimmy King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mulligan. Mulligan shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense. Mulligan tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Mulligan fails to land the takedown. Mulligan moves out of range of the body kick from King.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Mulligan on that attempt. Mulligan is breathing heavily. King throws a nice outside leg kick.

Mulligan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. King goes for a high kick. It partially lands. King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. King misses with an attempted mid kick.
King moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Mulligan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away. King throws a head kick but Mulligan moves out of range.

Mulligan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mulligan shoots in but King avoids the takedown attempt easily. King lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mulligan will feel that in the morning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mulligan shoots in and drives through. King sprawls well. Mulligan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
King lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mulligan's sensitive parts. King stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King wants it to stay on the feet. King misses with a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mulligan keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Jimmy King is winning the standup battle so far. A head kick misses from King. Mulligan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mulligan gets slowly back to his feet. Mulligan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by King. King obviously looking to wear him down.
Mulligan has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from King. King with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mulligan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before King can pounce on him.
King lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mulligan closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away. King lands with a thumping leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mulligan is defended easily by King. Nice body kick from King. Mulligan tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. King does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Mulligan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Mulligan's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Mulligan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mulligan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King's waist but King gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mulligan off to one side. Mulligan blocks a head kick by King.
No luck for Mulligan with that takedown attempt. Both fighters circling a little - King finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mulligan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? King is fending him off so far but Mulligan persists. Nope, King circles away and we're back to standing. King plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Mulligan blocks a head kick by King.

King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. King looks to land a body kick but Mulligan moved away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King throws a head kick that misses. King shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Mulligan shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. King fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mulligan checks it well. King throws a nice inside leg kick. King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mulligan can do to turn this around? Mulligan tries to score a power double leg takedown but King sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mulligan somewhat. King tries to score with a low kick but Mulligan moves his leg out of the way. King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mulligan shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jimmy King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mulligan. King goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Mulligan blocks a head kick by King.

Mulligan throws out a powerful jab. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from King lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mulligan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mulligan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mulligan fails to land the takedown. Mulligan fails with the takedown. King misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

King stuffs the takedown. King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. King ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. King throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Mulligan blocks a head kick by King.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mulligan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mulligan goes for an armbar but he's not got it… King turns into him and now he's in Mulligan's guard.
King has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mulligan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mulligan looking for a sweep. Not yet Mulligan, not yet. Mulligan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mulligan looking to ground and pound but King is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mulligan wants to finish this one by submission but King is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mulligan. King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position. Mulligan punching from mount but King doing a good job of avoiding damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. King defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mulligan. Frank Mulligan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jimmy King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mulligan misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Frank Mulligan. I think King has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
