0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sparring Wrestling! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! G Dias with a lazy takedown attempt and Wrestling counters with a takedown into side control. G Dias wants to get back to his feet but Wrestling drags him back down. Wrestling decides to take the fight back to the feet. G Dias shoots and misses and Wrestling counters with a shoot takedown. G Dias fights it but they end up in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! G Dias is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wrestling is controlling him. G Dias working for submissions but it's allowed Wrestling to get to half guard.
Wrestling is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrestling trying to control from G Dias's half guard. G Dias has other ideas though and has regained full guard. G Dias keeping moving, preventing Wrestling from controlling successfully. G Dias throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wrestling trying to control from G Dias's half guard. G Dias has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Wrestling trying to control the position from guard on top but G Dias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. G Dias looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wrestling passes into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. G Dias misses with an elbow from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wrestling pulls out of a head kick attempt.
G Dias tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wrestling sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten G Dias somewhat. Wrestling fakes high and swings low for a body shot but G Dias manages to avoid it. G Dias shoots in for a takedown but Wrestling shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rafael G Dias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wrestling shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wrestling was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wrestling can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as G Dias is looking to escape. G Dias is bucking up trying to escape but Wrestling cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrestling controlling the pace for now. Wrestling won't let G Dias get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Wrestling looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrestling controlling the position easily from mount. Wrestling gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Wrestling shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in G Dias's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wrestling controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wrestling is breathing heavily. G Dias throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wrestling escapes and throws G Dias's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. G Dias wants to get back to his feet. G Dias is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Wrestling decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. G Dias throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wrestling's waist but Wrestling gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing G Dias off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael G Dias. That's going to take a lot out of him. G Dias has a takedown stuffed. G Dias with a lazy takedown attempt and Wrestling counters with a single leg into guard. G Dias didn't expect that. G Dias keeping moving, preventing Wrestling from controlling successfully. Wrestling pushes down on G Dias's leg and manages to get into half guard. G Dias knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wrestling on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wrestling stops G Dias from getting back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. G Dias wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sparring Wrestling showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! G Dias's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
G Dias misses with a takedown and Wrestling counters by clinching up. Wrestling has hold of one of G Dias's legs. G Dias is fighting the takedown attempt but Wrestling gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Wrestling trying to control but G Dias is working from the bottom. G Dias on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if G Dias tries to get out of the position. Wrestling prevents G Dias from getting back to his feet. G Dias being controlled here, momentarily.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Sparring Wrestling hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. G Dias dives in and grabs Wrestling's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wrestling pushes down on G Dias's head and hops out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrestling defends well against a solid takedown attempt from G Dias. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael G Dias. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. G Dias with a poor takedown and Wrestling counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wrestling stands and steps away. G Dias gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. G Dias misses with a takedown and Wrestling counters with a takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! G Dias takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. A lull in the action here as Wrestling stalls from top position. Wrestling advances to full mount.

Wrestling throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. G Dias wants to try and get back to his feet. Wrestling controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. G Dias is trying to get back to his feet but can't. G Dias is trying desperately to improve position. Sparring Wrestling has got the better of the ground game so far. Wrestling controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wrestling wants to control the pace but G Dias is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. G Dias tries to buck Wrestling off but he can't manage it. Wrestling can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as G Dias is looking to escape. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Sparring Wrestling comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Wrestling winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
