Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lance Nisterlooy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry James! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lance Nisterlooy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James fails with an attempt to clinch.

and James makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Nisterlooy really felt that one! Nisterlooy throws the left hand but James avoids the punch easily. James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nisterlooy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat. James fails with an attempt to clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James is looking to clinch but Nisterlooy is avoiding it.

Nisterlooy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. James moves into range and clinches up with Nisterlooy. James pushes Nisterlooy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Nisterlooy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. James just stands there and leans against the cage. Nisterlooy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. James smiles and moves away.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nisterlooy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Nisterlooy. No joy for James on that attempt. Nisterlooy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

James dives in and grabs Nisterlooy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nisterlooy pushes down on James's head and hops out. Nisterlooy shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. James throws a head kick that Nisterlooy semi-blocks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Nisterlooy does it's job there. James fails with the takedown. James jumps guard and drags Nisterlooy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. James controlling Nisterlooy's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nisterlooy wants to stand but James has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Nisterlooy trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nisterlooy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Nisterlooy trying to control but James is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nisterlooy passes James's left leg - he's now in half guard. Nisterlooy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Nisterlooy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. James is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nisterlooy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is refusing to be controlled, as Nisterlooy sits in half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. James tries to roll over but Nisterlooy keeps him under control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lance Nisterlooy will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
