The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Chikatilo does no damage.
Chikatilo shoots in for a double leg but Pavlochenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chikatilo throws a series of punches but Pavlochenko moves out of range.
Chikatilo takes a swing at Pavlochenko's ribcage but misses.
Pavlochenko throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pavlochenko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chikatilo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chikatilo throws a right hand that Pavlochenko ducks under and follows up with a left that Pavlochenko also avoids with ease.
Andrei Chikatilo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick from Chikatilo misses
and Pavlochenko counters with a single leg into guard. Chikatilo didn't expect that.
Pavlochenko throws a big right hand that misses.
Chikatilo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pavlochenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
