Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Oppelaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt comes to the cage accompanied by Smells Like Teen Spirit. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Hunt! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dennis Oppelaar! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt takes the fight into the clinch. Hunt is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A head punch blocked on the inside by Hunt. Oppelaar has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hunt is trying to keep an underhook but Oppelaar manages to get the takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hunt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Oppelaar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Oppelaar's back! Hunt connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Oppelaar to escape the position.
Hunt doesn't have the hooks in and Oppelaar manages to turn into his guard.
Oppelaar trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hunt's guard. Hunt wants to sweep here but Oppelaar controlling him for the moment. Oppelaar wants to stand but Hunt has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hunt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oppelaar trying to control the position from guard on top but Hunt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hunt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunt is on top in guard.
Hunt throws a big elbow that misses. Hunt chips away with some ground and pound. Hunt works over Oppelaar with some ground and pound from guard. Hunt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oppelaar has an active guard here but Hunt has managed to pass into half guard.
Oppelaar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hunt. Nice strikes from Hunt there. Hunt stops Oppelaar from getting back to his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hunt takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hunt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt prevents Oppelaar from standing back up.
Hunt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hunt winds up and cracks Oppelaar with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hunt connects with a nice short shot to Oppelaar's temple. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hunt passes to full mount! Hunt lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hunt cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oppelaar is rocked! Hunt landing shots from mount. Oppelaar is still in real trouble! Can Hunt finish him? Hunt connects with a bit shot that sees Oppelaar covering up! More strikes from Hunt and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hunt is our winner by TKO!
