Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Jo clinches up with Ryan and pushes him back against the cage.
Ryan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jo after a bit of a struggle.
Jo is trying to break free.
Jo tries to circle away but Ryan has him pinned against the cage.

Jo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jo has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jo wants the takedown. Ryan is fighting it off but Jo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ryan's guard against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ryan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jo has managed to get both his arms back between Ryan's legs - danger averted.

Jo cracks Ryan with a solid left hand.

Jo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ryan dives on top into guard.

Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ryan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jo defends well.

Ryan has momentary wrist control but Jo slips an elbow through the middle.
Jo is working Ryan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Ryan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ryan is tightening it up a little... Jo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Jo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Jo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ryan!
