Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Germain napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Germain's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Phone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Germain has escaped the position, nice work there.
Phone is trying to get an arm triangle but Germain is defending well.
Germain is trying to control Phone's posture but Phone avoids it.
Phone working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Germain pushes Phone off looking to stand but Phone dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Phone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Phone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Phone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Phone goes for an armbar but Germain turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Germain.
Germain wants to stand and escape but instead Phone has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Phone trying to control but Germain is working from the bottom.
Germain manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Phone wants to control but Germain is having none of it.

A nice elbow there by Germain.
Germain tries to control but Phone wriggling away.
Germain wants to finish this one by submission but Phone is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Germain.

Germain throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Phone is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Phone is in all sorts of trouble here.
Germain misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Phone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Germain throws some wild stikes that Phone manages to avoid easily.
Germain thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Germain can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Phone is looking to escape.
Germain might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Phone kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Phone throws a right and a left that Germain avoids nicely.
Germain swings away with a body shot that misses
and Germain takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Crunch! Germain slams his shin into Phone's torso.
Germain tries to clinch but Phone is having none of it.

Nice takedown defense from Germain. No joy for Phone on that attempt.
Phone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Germain pinned against the cage. Germain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Germain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Phone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Germain shoots for a takedown but Phone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Germain throws a half hearted mid kick.
Phone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Germain to the ground. Phone is now in Germain's guard.
Germain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Phone wants to control from the top but Germain keeps moving.

Germain tries to kick Phone off in order to stand up. Phone Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Phone goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Germain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Phone but great work by Germain.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Phone is looking for a sweep.
Germain stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Phone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Germain tries to avoid it but Phone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Germain to the ground. Germain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Germain dives in and grabs Phone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Phone pushes down on Germain's head and hops out.
Germain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Phone moves away.
Phone takes a swing at Germain's ribcage but misses.
Phone scores with a takedown into Germain's guard.

Phone wants to pass the guard but Germain is keeping the position.

Phone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Germain's head.
Phone postures up.
Phone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Phone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Phone throws an elbow that misses. Germain uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Phone's guard. Nice move by Germain!
Germain looking to sit in guard and control but Phone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Germain keeping moving, preventing Phone from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Eye Phone decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
