Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Rain!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yashima Hanko!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rain darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hanko looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Rain wants to work for an arm triangle but Hanko is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hanko won't allow Rain to pass to mount.

Rain looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rain moves nicely into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rain misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Rain decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hanko to his feet.

Hanko gets caught flat footed, as Rain shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rain tries to free his leg and advance position but Hanko is retaining full guard.

Rain stands and steps away. Hanko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rain is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rain shoots for a double leg takedown but Hanko sprawls well. He's pushed Rain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Danga de danga de dang - Hanko scores with a four punch combination!
Hanko takes a kick to the side of the head.
Rain shoots in but Hanko avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hanko moves into the clinch successfully.
Hanko misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Rain manages to break the clinch.
Rain throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Hanko crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ryan Rain!
Ryan Rain retains his light heavyweight title!
