Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vadim Kharghai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lorenzo Snow!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow misses with a head kick.
The fighters circling - Kharghai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kharghai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Snow.
Kharghai looks for a takedown but Snow sprawls well.
Snow misses with a left hand
and Kharghai counters with a series of strikes. Snow will be more careful next time no doubt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kharghai.

Kharghai tries to keep at a distance but Snow has taken the fight into the clinch.

Snow swings wildly with an uppercut but Kharghai uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kharghai blocks a body shot from Snow.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Snow takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Snow throws a punch but it's blocked by Kharghai.

Snow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kharghai is defended easily by Snow.
Snow throws a head kick that misses.

Kharghai gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Snow scores with a shoulder strike.

Kharghai ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kharghai no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kharghai controls Snow momentarily but Snow frees himself.

Snow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kharghai, pushing him back against the cage.

Snow is looking to control Kharghai's arms but Kharghai gets an underhook and turns him. Now Snow has his back to the cage.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kharghai drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kharghai sitting in guard here, content to control.
Kharghai wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.
Snow avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kharghai throws a strike but Snow rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kharghai seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kharghai has his foot on Snow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snow works his way back into a safe position though.

Kharghai not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kharghai tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kharghai will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kharghai is trying to hold Snow in close to prevent damage but Snow has managed to pass into half guard.

Snow wants to take a breather but Kharghai is having none of it.
Kharghai has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Snow is working away from the top position though.

Kharghai fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Snow to the ground. Kharghai is now in Snow's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vadim Kharghai will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kharghai looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Snow is fending him off so far but Kharghai persists. Nope, Snow circles away and we're back to standing.

Snow will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Snow counters with a nice body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Snow counters with a straight right hand.

Kharghai lands with a hook. Snow tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Kharghai shoots for a takedown but Snow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nice defenses there by Snow.

Horrible takedown by Kharghai or perhaps it was just good defense by Snow which made him look bad.

Kharghai jumps into guard, dragging Snow to the mat.
Snow is fighting to break Kharghai's control of his arms but Kharghai is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kharghai is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Snow defends well.

Lorenzo Snow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Snow has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Lorenzo Snow was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
