Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caley Donaldson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Byrd has chosen Swagzilla - DKINGKILLA as his entrance music. Donaldson is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrd misses with a looping left.
Donaldson is breathing heavily.
Byrd tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Donaldson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Donaldson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Byrd counters with a good low kick that Donaldson was not able to check.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Byrd obliges.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Donaldson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Byrd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Donaldson has managed to get both his arms back between Byrd's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Donaldson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Donaldson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Byrd tries to close the distance and clinch up but Donaldson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Donaldson wants to improve his position but Byrd is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Caley Donaldson's cut.
That's time! Donaldson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Byrd shoots in and bounces Donaldson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Byrd has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Donaldson is proving hard to escape from.
Byrd stands and throws Donaldson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Byrd creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Donaldson is not content to let Byrd control the position.
Donaldson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Byrd tries to control but Donaldson wriggling away.

Donaldson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Byrd has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Donaldson's face.

Donaldson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Byrd's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

In his post fight interview, Tommy Byrd started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
