Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conner comes to the cage accompanied by Godsmack - Time Bomb. Scope has chosen Marry the Canvas! as his entrance music. Michael Scope has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Conner! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Scope! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scope throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Conner counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Conner throws a sloppy head kick and Scope moves out of range easily. Scope misses with the combination.
Conner connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Conner plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Scope throws a series of punches but Conner avoids them all with ease. Scope tries for a takedown but Conner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Scope misses with a double jab.
Conner fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Scope throws a series of punches but Conner avoids them all with ease. Conner swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Scope or perhaps it was just good defense by Conner which made him look bad. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Scope is defended easily by Conner. Tim Conner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Scope. Scope shoots in and drives through. Conner sprawls well. Scope misses with a double jab.
Conner connects with a body shot. Conner throws the kick towards the body but Scope avoids it. Tim Conner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Conner feints and then cracks Scope's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scope down. A looping hook to the body misses from Scope. Conner does a little dance to reset his feet. Conner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Scope moves away. A combination from Scope does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scope has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Conner. Conner stuffs the takedown attempt from Scope. Scope gets slowly back to his feet. Scope walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scope closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Conner darts in and clinches Scope up against the cage. Scope drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Conner stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Conner lands with a right to the head. Conner lands an uppercut. Conner lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Scope backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conner controlling the action here for a moment.
Conner lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Michael Scope has been cut. Scope has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Conner clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Scope not allowing Conner to control his hands. Well, with Scope on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Conner is tapping out... Can he escape the position? I would not like to be Conner right now.
Conner controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Scope seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Conner's chin but Conner turns very nicely into Scope's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Conner.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conner trying to control the position from guard on top but Scope is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Conner stays in close to Scope's body and controls the position. Conner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scope is keeping the position for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scope tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Conner is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Conner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Scope manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Scope fails with a takedown attempt. Conner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Scope looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Conner fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Conner.

Conner fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Scope on the side of the head. Michael Scope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scope throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Scope tries to keep at a distance but Conner has taken the fight into the clinch. Conner lands a nice elbow. Scope tries to score a body lock takedown but Conner shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Conner scores with a shoulder strike. Conner creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Scope's defenses. Conner comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Conner scores with a shoulder strike. That has opened up Michael Scope's cut even more. Conner lands with a left to the head. Conner lands an elbow that stopped Scope in his tracks for a moment. Conner lands a shoulder strike. Conner is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Scope struggles to land a body shot inside as Conner controls his hands.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Conner lands a hook that snaps the head of Scope backwards. A short left from Conner. Scope wants to take the fight to the mat but Conner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. and Conner counters with a stiff right hand. Scope gets a double leg takedown into Conner's guard. Conner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Conner is adopting a defensive guard. Conner wants to stand but Scope is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It connects and Scope has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Scope takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Conner throws a front kick that sends Scope stumbling back into the cage. Conner is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Scope has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Conner. Conner is looking to wear down Scope with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Scope gets tackled into the cage by Conner. Conner maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conner's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A quick uppercut on the inside from Conner. Conner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Conner catches Scope with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Scope has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Conner. Conner connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Scope momentarily.
Scope with a lazy takedown attempt and Conner counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Scope is lucky that one didn't land flush. Conner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Scope shoots for a double leg takedown but Conner sprawls well. He's pushed Scope's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Conner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Conner counters with a lovely straight right hand! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Conner closes the distance and pushes Scope back into the cage. Scope's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Scope is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Conner lands a right hand. Conner lands a good knee to the midsection. Scope won't want to take too many of those.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conner has Scope pushed against the cage. Conner lands a nice uppercut. Scope takes a knee to the side of the body. Still in the clinch, Conner scores with a nice short uppercut. Conner lands a shot to the body. Conner lands a damaging elbow. Conner creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Scope with a big uppercut! Scope tries to clinch up but Conner pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Scope to the mat! Scope covers up and Conner unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
