Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mario Brazilian Bjj! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body punch from Cassidy. Cassidy clinches up with Brazilian Bjj and pushes him back against the cage. Cassidy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cassidy manages to end up in side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Brazilian Bjj parries the strikes from Cassidy easily there. Cassidy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Brazilian Bjj to escape.
Cassidy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brazilian Bjj sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cassidy throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Cassidy throwing shots but missing, from side control. Cassidy controls the position. Cassidy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Al Cassidy. Cassidy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brazilian Bjj quickly recovers to half guard. Cassidy looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Al Cassidy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Cassidy fails with the takedown. Cassidy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cassidy gets a double leg takedown into Brazilian Bjj's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cassidy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brazilian Bjj paws at him with a jab and circles away. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Brazilian Bjj has eaten all the pies! Cassidy sizes up Brazilian Bjj with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Cassidy tries for a takedown but Brazilian Bjj sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Cassidy. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Cassidy with that takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cassidy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cassidy shoots in looking for a takedown but Brazilian Bjj manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cassidy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Cassidy fails with the takedown. Cassidy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brazilian Bjj circles away. Cassidy takes a kick to the side of the head. Cassidy fails with the takedown. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cassidy. Horrible takedown by Cassidy or perhaps it was just good defense by Brazilian Bjj which made him look bad. Brazilian Bjj misses with a head kick.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cassidy trying to pass the guard but Brazilian Bjj defending well. Brazilian Bjj throws a lazy head kick and Cassidy counters with a nice double leg into guard. Brazilian Bjj avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Cassidy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cassidy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brazilian Bjj can do to turn this around? A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cassidy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cassidy throwing strikes from guard but Brazilian Bjj blocks nicely. Brazilian Bjj working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cassidy. Cassidy tries to free his leg and advance position but Brazilian Bjj is retaining full guard.

Cassidy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brazilian Bjj swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cassidy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Cassidy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brazilian Bjj on his heels. He'll look to pass Brazilian Bjj's guard now, I'm sure. Cassidy working some strikes from top position. Brazilian Bjj can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cassidy controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brazilian Bjj wants to get back to his feet but Cassidy is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cassidy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Mario Brazilian Bjj has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cassidy scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that's the end of the fight! Al Cassidy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cassidy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
