Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aadilou Ankutse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Young Buck - Loose My Mind. Ankutse has chosen i ka kane as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aadilou Ankutse! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ankutse tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Ankutse wants to clinch and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ankutse tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jones moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Ankutse is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ankutse is not content to let Jones control the position. Jones tries to advance position but instead Ankutse slips a leg back in to half guard. Ankutse is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is really struggling to control Ankutse but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ankutse is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold. Jones trying to control the action but Ankutse is working from the bottom. Ankutse slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ankutse keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Ankutse throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ankutse looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ankutse keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones is pushing down on Ankutse's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ankutse is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through. Ankutse missing with punches from the bottom.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ankutse does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ankutse is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily. Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ankutse doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones. Ankutse looking for submissions off his back.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ankutse is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold. Jones wants to pass the guard but Ankutse is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ankutse tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jackson Jones will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ankutse as he jumps to the side. Ankutse stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ankutse lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jackson Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ankutse moves into the clinch. A shot in the inside from Ankutse. Ankutse scores with an uppercut up the middle. A head punch blocked on the inside by Jones. Jones tries to pull guard but Ankutse won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ankutse lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jones or not. Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ankutse smiles and moves away.
Ankutse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ankutse quickly recovers to half guard. Ankutse is not content to let Jones control the position. Ankutse actively working from the bottom here. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ankutse defends it well. Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ankutse is trying to get back to full guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall. Ankutse is looking to improve his position.
Ankutse looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jones is pressing down on Ankutse's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ankutse is holding on for now. The crowd are loving this. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. The fight stays on the outside here - Ankutse looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones gets tackled into the cage by Ankutse. Ankutse maintains the clinch.

Ankutse misses with a hook from the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ankutse lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jones tries to pull guard but Ankutse won't allow it.

Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ankutse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ankutse drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones! Ankutse looking for a sweep but Jones has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ankutse is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. Ankutse sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Ankutse is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ankutse is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ankutse looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ankutse takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jones passes the guard and advances to mount! Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ankutse regains half guard. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
