Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bayley James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Maughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilson Maughan!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - James looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Maughan tries to keep at a distance but James has taken the fight into the clinch.

and James counters with a straight right hand.

James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maughan, pushing him back against the cage.
Maughan tries to work over James's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maughan was well out of range. Poor timing from James.

James lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
James closes the distance but Maughan moves to the side
and Maughan counters with a slapping leg kick.

The fighters circle momentarily. James darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
James uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Bayley James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Maughan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with James's elbow.
Maughan misses with a punch on the inside.

James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
James pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maughan back to the cage. James follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Maughan thows a left - swing and a miss!
James is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Maughan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
James lands with a cross.
Maughan lands with a nice combination. James backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wilson Maughan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Maughan throws a series of punches but James avoids them all with ease.

Maughan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as James throws out the jab.
James lunges at Maughan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Maughan's hand.

Maughan looks to land a combination but James avoids it well.
James misses with a straight right.
Maughan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Maughan seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. James shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Maughan is backing up but James catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Maughan covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! James Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bayley James!
Bayley James decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
