Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dolores Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dolores Haze has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dolores Haze! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Velasquez! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez clinches. Haze has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Velasquez avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Haze can't get the takedown.
Haze goes for a takedown attempt but Velasquez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dolores Haze. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haze tries a low kick but Velasquez avoids it. Haze shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Velasquez tries to hold on but Haze pushes him away. Haze looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Velasquez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Haze throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Haze wants to take his opponent's back but Velasquez doesn't allow it. Haze throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Velasquez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Velasquez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Haze.
Haze wants to finish this one by submission but Velasquez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Haze.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Velasquez tries to lock up and control but Haze gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Haze is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Velasquez has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Velasquez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Haze. Velasquez tries to reverse the position but Haze maintains control. Haze looking to secure an arm triangle but Velasquez defends it well. Haze looking to finish with strikes here!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Haze throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Velasquez keeping moving, preventing Haze from controlling successfully. Velasquez looking for a triangle here. Haze is fighting it but it looks tight! Velasquez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Haze is tapping out - this one is all over!
